Teen Anxiety Camp

A Therapy Intensive Workshop for Ages 12-14

(Age exceptions will be considered)

The transition from childhood to adolescence is a very challenging time in the lives of young people.  During the teenage years, peer approval and belonging play an important role in the development of healthy self-esteem and self confidence.  Young people are often occupied with the fear of “not being good enough” or “being judged by others.”  The goal of this therapeutic group is for teens to seek healthier ways to cope with anxiety, and develop healthier relationships with friends and family.  I will guide participants to learn new communication and relationship skills that will increase confidence and self-esteem, and develop a way to break out of destructive behavior patterns.   I will help your teen identify what healthy relationships should look like – both with themselves and others – and teach them how to set boundaries and advocate for themselves.   Our group will teach students how to identify and understand their own emotions and help them learn how to share them with others.  If your young teen is struggling with feeling insecure and identifying achievable goals, this therapeutic group can help them find a way forward.  As they build authentic connections and accomplish goals they’ve set for themselves, they will discover their inner strengths and gain new confidence.
